Get involved - Walk with headspace in the Perth Pride Parade

headspace acknowledges that transphobic discrimination and being made to feel ‘different’ because of ones gender and sexual identity can affect your sense of wellbeing and make it difficult to enjoy life fully. It can also make it hard to ask for help, or know where to turn for help, when problems come up. headspace is determined to provide a safe place for young people who are directly affected by these behaviours, and is proud to be marching in this year’s Pride Parade to raise awareness of some of the issues experienced by young people who identify as LGBTIQ. The phoenix image on our banner depicts ‘rising from the ashes’ and promotes the celebration of diversity which is synonymous with the Pride Parade. Every cloud has a silver lining, and by taking action and reaching out when you are going through a tough time, headspace can help young people soar.

Saturday 21 November marks 25 fabulous years of the Perth Pride Parade! If you would like to join with us in celebrating this momentous occasion by walking with headspace in the parade, please email Ashley.guy@headspaceospk.com.au or phone us on (08) 9208 9555 by noon Friday 20 November.
